Built by enthusiasts.
Shaped by garage owners.
Autopilot was started by three friends who share a love of cars. Two of us are software developers by trade.
Before Autopilot we built Mod Central UK, a marketplace and directory for the modified car scene, somewhere to find the right parts for your car and a trusted garage to fit them. That put us in front of a lot of garages, and the more we worked with them the more we noticed the same thing. The workshop was running well. The software behind it wasn't. Clunky screens, enterprise pricing, and features that felt designed by someone who had never stood in a workshop.
So we started building something to help those garages manage their jobs properly. Autopilot was born.

We asked. Then we asked again.
We sat down with garage owners of every size, from single-ramp independents to busy MOT centres, and asked what actually eats up their day. Which jobs get done twice because two systems don't talk to each other. What they've been putting up with for years because their current system wouldn't make any updates.
We're developers, but we're not the sort who turn up assuming we know your business better than you do. Every version of Autopilot has been shaped by those conversations, and it still is.

When 3 Became 4
Scott owns MB Liverpool. He's used many different garage management systems over the years and was ready for a change. We approached him to get his take on Autopilot. He knew precisely what was wrong with the software he'd been living with, and precisely what would make his week easier.
It didn't take long to realise we didn't want Scott as a customer. We wanted him alongside us. Scott is now a partner in Autopilot, and nothing gets built without going past someone who has been in the garage industry over 30 years and has owned his own garage for over 15 years.
Developed by a garage owner, for garage owners. We mean that literally.
Growing fast, and staying close to the people using it
The last six months have changed Autopilot beyond recognition. New features, a much bigger platform, and partnerships with some of the biggest names in the trade with plenty more on the way. What hasn't changed is how we build. Garage owners tell us what's getting in their way, and we go and fix it.

The roadmap is yours as much as it is ours
We're nowhere near finished. There's plenty still to come, and a good chunk of it will be there because a garage owner told us it should be.
If you run a garage and you've got an opinion on what your software should do, we'd genuinely like to hear it. Even if you never become a customer.
